We’re confident in our work because we don’t use a generic headlight restoration kit that can be found in an auto-parts store. Instead, we go through a meticulous 4-step sanding process to remove the faded layer of clear coat. Then to finish them off, we will add a fresh new layer of clear coat that will bring clarity and gloss to the headlights.
Our Headlight Restoration Process

Tape off the headlights
By taping around the headlights, we will prevent any scratches on the paint.

Start sanding with 400 grit
This is an aggressive grit designed to remove the fading clear coat.

Continue sanding with 600 grit
This grit removes the rest of the imperfections that are left over.

Even headlights with 800 grit
With the impurities removed, our goal now is to even out the scratches left behind.

Finish headlights with 1000 grit
It will refine the scratches left behind and make them extremely fine.

Preparation phase
We’ll tape a plastic drop cloth over the front end of the vehicle to prevent overspray.

Light Coating
We paint a light layer of dedicated automotive clear coat onto the headlights.

Heavy Coating
After 10 minutes, we’ll paint a heavy layer of clear coat to finish off the headlights.
Efficient Headlight Restoration in Sacramento
This service can take between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. It really depends on the size of the headlights and how faded they are. The more faded, the longer the sanding process will take.
If you’re looking for an external makeover for your vehicle, a wash and wax or a level 1 paint correction would be a great choice. It is important to note however that we do not offer headlight restoration as a stand-alone service. It must be combined with at least 1 other service.

Absolutely not! We take the proper precautions to avoid any overspray. We’ll block the entire front end of your vehicle with a drop cloth and we’ll paint relatively close to your headlights so the clear coat won’t affect the rest of the vehicle.
Will this get overspray on the rest of my vehicle?
Since we apply a new layer of clear coat, we guarantee that the headlights will last up to 5 years regardless of where you store your vehicle.
How long do the results last?
If the headlights do start to fade before 5 years are up we will come out and repeat the process free of charge. The only thing we’ll need is the transaction receipt. The warranty will be invalid without it.
How does the warranty work?
UV rays are the main culprit for causing headlights to fade so it comes down to where you store your vehicle. If you store your vehicle in a shady area or your garage, then you’ll get the longest life out of your headlights. However, if you keep your vehicle consistently in the sun then they will fade a lot sooner.
